Resolved Question: even though I don't like her--I have to admit to feeling bad for her for the first time...?

McCain aids are now tryng to sling mud at their possess! True or not its still a low blow.... read for more info: Palin denounces anonymous critics as 'cowardly' By DAN JOLING, Associated Press Writer Dan Joling, Associated Press Writer 1 hr 28 mins ago ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Gov. Sarah Palin denounced anonymous criticisms leveled at her by former John McCain aides as lies, including allegations that Republican lawyers were traveling to Alaska to reclaim her high-priced wardrobe and that she didn't know Africa was a continent. "Those accounts are not true," the former Republican vice presidential candidate said in her first public comments on the matter since the election Tuesday. Palin returned Friday to her Anchorage governor's office and said she had no immediate plans to build on her newfound national name-recognition and popularity with the Republican base for a possible 2012 presidential run. Instead, Palin said, she wanted only to receive back to the governor's desk to advance a proposed pipeline tapping Alaska's vast North Slope natural gas reserves and to prepare Alaska's proposed 2010 budget. As for the vice presidential campaign, Palin denounced criticism from unidentified McCain campaign aides as "cowardly." She said she found it frustrating trying to respond to untrue allegations when she didn't know who was making them. "It's ridiculous," she told reporters. "You guys report based on anonymous sources, so it's difficult to have a defense." One report said she and her family went on a shopping spree, spending more than the $150,000 in clothing that the Republican National Committee had earlier reported. "The RNC purchased clothes," Palin said. "Those are the RNC's clothes. They're not my clothes. I never forced anybody to buy anything. I never asked for anything more than maybe a Diet Dr Pepper once in a while." The RNC will inventory clothing it purchased for her to account for dollars spent, she said. She scoffed at reports that the RNC was sending lawyers to take back clothes from her home. "It's not happening. Nobody's told me that they're coming to my home to look through closets, to look through anything. The belly of the plane that had clothes in it, and those clothes being packed up and sent back by staffers, perhaps that's what they're talking about, but these aren't attorneys." She said she wasn't mad at the continued coverage of her clothing, but mostly disappointed. "This is Barack Obama's time right now, and this is an historic moment in our nation and this can be a shining moment for America and our history, and look what we're talking about. Again, we're talking about my shoes and belts and skirts. It's ridiculous." She also denied a report that she didn't know Africa was a continent, not a country, and that she didn't know the members of the North American Free Trade Agreement — the United States, Canada and Mexico. She remembered discussing both Africa and Obama's stance on NAFTA with people preparing her for her debate, she said. Anything reported as a gaffe was taken out of context, she said. "That's cruel. It's mean-spirited. It's immature. It's unprofessional and those guys are jerks if they came away with it, taking things out of context, and then tried to spread something on national news. It's not fair and it's not right." Asked if she felt muzzled by her limited time with reporters during the campaign, Palin said the media is a cornerstone of democracy and an important part of the checks and balances on government. "Heaven forbid that a candidate or an elected official shy way from speaking to the media," she said. "So it was a little bit of a frustration that I didn't receive to call more of those shots, and I guess that was sort of the 'rogue' criticism was, 'She wants to talk to more of the media' than perhaps some in the campaign wanted me to." Palin backed off from calling for the resignation of fellow Alaskan Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Republican in Senate history. Stevens leads Democrat Mark Begich by about 3,500 votes with more than 50,000 to be counted. A Washington jury convicted Stevens on Oct. 27 of seven felony counts of failing to report more than $250,000 in gifts, mostly renovations on his home. Stevens is appealing the verdict. "The Alaska voters have spoken and me not being a dictator won't be telling anyone what to do," she said. Fellow senators have indicated they could boot Stevens. "That's their baby," Palin said. "They'll have to figure out what to do there." Palin said she was not interested in running for the job if it comes open. "Not planning on that. Nope," she said. do I trust her? NO do I remotely like her? NO But her possess PARTY has turned on her..and thats unhappy...McCain is the one who chose her for Gods sake!

Resolved Question: Am I wasting my time and heart?

I met my current bf while working in a remote location. He's from Michigan and I live in Anchorage, AK. We met while working in northern Alaska in May. We started seeing each other at the end of June. That project ended in July and we have both been working out of the Anchorage office since. He stays in Anchorage for several weeks at a time then goes back to MI for a week or two. Things are going good with us. We seem to fit well together but i don't know if he is willing to leave his family and friends to move to Alaska. We are not ready to move in together right now anyway. Am i wasting my time? Should i cease seeing him and look for someone in my area code or should i continue to kindle the wish that things will work out? I've discussed this with him a few times but don't want him to feel pressured. What should i do? I don't want him to have to leave his friends. I understand that it is a big deal to move that far. I would never ask him to do it for our relationship. I don't want to be the reason he moves. I'm hoping it will be a career decision. I'm just starting to develop serious feelings in this relationship and don't know if i'm setting myself up for a heart break.

Resolved Question: What Places Should I Apply For A Job At?

Okay so I am 17 years old. I'll be turning 18 at the end of April so I need to keep up a few thousand dollars so I can have enough for an apartment. Here, first & last months rent + the security deposit is about $1500 - $2000 depending on the place. I also have a turtle in a big tank & plan on getting a teacup Yorkie so there will definitely also be a pet deposit of about $200 - $300 or so. So I'm figuring that I'll need at least $2500 by March. If I work full time at minimum wage how much would I have by then? Minimum wage here is $7.15 per hour. What places can I work at? I live right close downtown Anchorage, Alaska so I've got quite a few options. Jobs for people my age are taken pretty quickly here though + I don't want to end up with a crappy job like my last one where I wasn't treated right. So what are some companies that have good reputations for treating their employees well? I have already applied for a Regal movie theater that is about 3 blocks from my home. I prefer online applications most, but if you think a company is really good then I'll apply in store if online is not available. Thanks in advance everyone <3

Voting Question: If you were running for any office, would you want John McCain campaigning for you?

Three Senate races are still undecided. The stakes are high -- if Democrats win every three, they would secure a filibuster-proof majority in the chamber. Republicans, aware of this possibility, are putting up a serious battle. USA Today reports that John McCain is heading to Georgia on Thursday to campaign for Sen. Saxby Chambliss, who is in a runoff against Democrat Jim Martin. Sarah Palin may follow. Barack Obama has dispatched aides to the state. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has donated $5,000 to Sen. Norm Coleman help with his recount effort in the race against Democrat Al Franken. Meanwhile, in Alaska, 30% of ballots have yet to be counted. The unusually low turnout in the state has raised questions -- "something smells fishy," one Alaska pollster told the Anchorage Daily News. I think John McCain's character has been greatly tarnished but maybe its just me!

Resolved Question: Palin blames Bush policies for GOP defeat. She's most definitely going for the jugular? Your thoughts?

WASILLA, Alaska – Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, amid speculation she'll run for president in four years, blamed Bush administration policies for the defeat last week of the GOP ticket and prayed she wouldn't miss "an open door" for her next political opportunity. "I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door," Palin said in an interview with Fox News on Monday. "And if there is an open door in '12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plow through that door." In a wide-ranging interview with Fox's Greta Van Susteren, Palin says she neither wanted nor asked for the $150,000-plus wardrobe the Republican Party bankrolled, and thought the issue was an odd one at the end of the campaign, considering "what is going on in the world today." "I did not order the clothes. Did not ask for the clothes," Palin said. "I would have been glad to have worn my possess clothes from Day One. But that is nice of an odd issue, an odd campaign issue as things were wrapping up there as to who ordered what and who demanded what." "It's amazing that we did as well as we did," Palin, who was Sen. John McCain's running mate, said of the election in a separate interview with the Anchorage Daily News. "I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were nice of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy below a Republican administration? If we're talking change, we want to receive far away from what it was that the gift administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing," Palin said in a story published Sunday.

Resolved Question: Just so I understand this, Palin is blaming BUSH for their getting whacked in the election?

yahoonews reports this today: "Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Sunday that she and running mate John McCain lost because the Republican ticket “represented too much of the status quo.” In an interview with the Anchorage Daily News posted on the paper’s site Monday morning, Palin pointed a finger at the Bush administration for souring the GOP brand, adding that it was “amazing” that the McCain campaign did as well as it did. “I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were nice of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy below a Republican administration?” Palin said." Certainly Obama had the right to point fingers at McPalin for running a campaign based on a blueprint of the failed Dubya policies, but sorry, when Palin does it....she's just blaming McSame. Who is she blaming, Bush or McLame? Of course every this comes down to is the same thing we look in just about every locker room interview with an athlete who refuses to admit that the better team won...it's always "we didn't do this" and "we made too many mistakes" yada yada. Not this time McPalin. The better team won, and even BEFORE Obama has been sworn in I've seen him take more positive inititatives towards solving crucial problems than I've seen any Rebuplican take since Lincoln. Gitmo, Iran, his appointees, establishing coalitions, his economic team.... And oh yeah, that 10 Trillion dollar debt? Look at the illegal war in Iraq in which we waste 12 Billion per month! And these idiots are scratching their collective heads saying "huuhhh? how did we receive into this mess?" Thankfully the long national nightmare is over (borrowing from G.F. there). Those that criticize my post of course don't dispute anything I actually said in terms of the content. That's typical.
